Terms and conditions
The terms we work on: what we deliver, who owns the code, how payment works and what happens if a project stops.
The terms below apply to services provided by Obsidianteck Studio. A separate written agreement is signed for each project, and it takes precedence over this page.
What we deliver
Every project has a written proposal stating what is being built, in what time and for how much. What isn't in the proposal isn't in the price — but it can be added, with an amendment that is also in writing.
Who owns the code
Code written for you is yours from the moment of full payment, history included. Open-source libraries used remain under their own licences.
Payment
Usually in instalments tied to milestones: at the start, at an intermediate stage, and at handover. The amounts and stages are written into the proposal.
Deadlines
The date in the proposal is a commitment. If something comes up that changes it, you're told in good time, with the reason — not on the delivery day.
If the project stops
You can stop the work at any time. What has been worked is paid for, and the code produced up to that point stays yours.
Liability
We answer for our own work and fix defects that belong to it. We don't answer for losses from causes outside the delivered code: outages at external providers, changes in legislation, or wrong data entered by users.
